Sarah Coleman

After (too) many years of singing in the church choir, Sarah decided to branch out into the local amateur operatic scene. She has played a number of different roles, from Sarah Brown, the Mission doll in “Guys & Dolls”, to Mary Kelly in “Jack The Ripper”. However, after being spotted in a revue by Michael and his wife Stephanie, the rest is history! After so many years of playing parts and hiding behind the greasepaint, Sarah is happy to finally be “singing as me” in Midnight.

David Barrett

Like everyone else, David played 6-string acoustic guitar in his youth, until Michael suggested he cut off two strings, and he discovered his real instrumental love. Over the last dozen years he has played bass in several bands including the bizarrely-named Rats & Gargoyles and the even more obscurely-named Offog. He describes Midnight as his dream band: a fabulous female vocalist, songs he loves, and the opportunity to add harmony as much (or as little) as he likes.

Michael Fearn

Michael says that playing guitar with Midnight is the best fun he has ever had in music-making. He has played in public since the age of thirteen, solo and in bands as diverse as the Victor Brox Blues Band and an acoustic duo with Midnight's bass player David. His guitar style has been compared to John Renbourn by the French press. Like many guitarists who grew up at the same time, his first playing opportunities were in folk clubs. His sound is now more modern, but acknowledges its roots. Michael is also (so far) the band's main songwriter.
